RXV not doing the "twist" test
New to me, 2010 RXV. battery voltage checks out. turn key buzzer works in Reverse, no twist in motor at all. Solenoid clicks when key turns but not brake. Run or Tow keeps the brake locked. when using the emergency jumper procedure the brake releases. No solenoid click if i open the connector behind the charger inlet. Any ideas where to look?

Re: RXV not doing the "twist" test
Sounds like your brake is bad. Take brake off and do the ohms test on it. Should be 25-28 ohms.

A bad brake doesn't make the cart never start the twist test.

Re: RXV not doing the "twist" test
its a new brake, 27 ohms. Also, brake works fine when using the emergency jumper method. it seems that there is only .5v on the brake leads, i would have expected pack voltage there, which is what i get when i do the emergency jumper.

Re: RXV not doing the "twist" test
no worries, i think the issue may be in that area however. i read somewhere that there is a resistance check, prior to the twist, which might explain the .5v i see on the brake lead. i am thinking that if it doesn't see the brake, it might not initiate the motor twist. don't know if there is a way to test this without the diagnostic handheld.
