Default Re: RXV not doing the "twist" test

I pulled the pedals today and tested the rotary switches and i may have misread the voltage on these when in the cart earlier. i suspect they both may be bad, possibly someone doing some splicing in the carts past life. my question is this. Would 2 bad rotary switches on the pedals keep the cart from testing the engine brake and twist test on startup?

The pedal test is prior to the motor twist test. A failed test normally halts further testing, but a simple HPD error will not halt. It will keep testing pedal until it passes, before moving on with testing... Sometimes HPD is just caused by a foot on a pedal.

Bob or anybody knows the exact order of all the checks I sure would like to have that information. That could come in very helpful down the road.

In my case, i think there is no voltage coming from from rotary sensors, and no voltage increase when i press the pedals, even though i can see 5v on the input side. it would make sense that if there was no pedal voltage detected that the tests would stop. I will order two new sensors and see if that moves the issue along. The Danaher guide cleary shows measuring minimal voltage from the pedals in the normal high position as well as increased voltage as they are depressed.

Problem appears to be resolved. New rotary pedal sensors installed and the brake releases on key turn and twist test runs. So i suppose that answers a previous question that the pedal tests appear to be done prior to the brake and motor test. Thanks for all assistance.
