Re: Rxv still has issue
In the smaller applications like drill batteries the lithium are way better than nicad batteries so I imagine it will be the same for golf carts. And here I thought gel batteries were fancy lol

I believe in the near future gas golf carts will be like the horse and buggy. You just can't stop technology.

Re: Rxv still has issue
I will say though I still prefer a gas cart over an electric. Sure your batteries may last you 4-5 years but when the time comes you have to fork out the big chunk of money. Unless your engine goes out or you need a new rear axle you will never spend 800+ for repair/maintenance. I’m really impressed with Yamaha and their new super quiet gas carts. They stuffed more insulation in the car and all you hear is a muffled humming. Sure you can still tell it’s a gas cart but it’s really muffled

Re: Rxv still has issue
Yes but only one and it was nice like you said. Most people I deal with buy them for the distance they can go before needing refueling. Here is where the new battery technology in the future will change things. They will be lighter and go farther and the price will come down.
