2014 TXT 48 Steering Rattle
I've got a neighbor that just bought a lifted 2014 TXT 48 that has one heck of a rattle coming from the top of the steering column under the steering wheel. I took the steering wheel off and the only thing I can see out of the ordinary is that the steering shaft has a little play up and down, maybe less than 1/8". Every little bump causes it to rattle and it's driving him crazy. Thoughts on anything I can do to help? I've never had a steering column apart so not sure if maybe there is a spacer missing or what.

I have the same cart, 2014 TXT, and when it rains I get the steering column rattle. Although mine is more of a squeak. Two days after the rain subsides and the air dries out, the rattle/squeak goes away. I can't figure out why it does that. I only chimed in because I see your in East Texas so I am sure you have tons more humidity than here in Austin. Just a thought......

My TXT 48V has a rattle and it's the steering wheel itself. The cover in the middle seems to be inherently loose on the stock steering wheels.

Has he greased the steering lately? Take a grease gun and pump all of the grease fittings.
