Most definitely, the stock solenoid is only rated at 85A and is marginal for use with a stock controller and stock motor.

Scottyb (Carts Unlimited) sells controllers and solenoids as kits. http://www.cartsunlimited.net/alltrax-xct-sepex--.html

If upping the battery pack to 42V or 48V might happen in future, get the super duty (400A continuous/1000A peak) solenoid, it will run at 36V, 42V and 48V, so it doesn't have to be changed when pack voltage is changed.

I want to say thanks to JohnnieB and Scottyb for getting my cart back up and running. after replacing the controller and solenoid it's back on the road! When I opened up the stock controller one of the Triacs was broken in half.
