Default trailering questions

I have seen trailers with sliding axles to adjust for loads. Pins to lock in place. Bikes usually ride better loaded the way you ride them. Tons of info on trailing bikes but usually you want to strap the forks and allow the suspension to do its thing. If you load the suspension it may cause premature issues. Their are chocks that hold the wheel where it does not need to be strapped , you get what you pay for there.

Default trailering questions

Thats pushing it as they have a weight rating with a 400# model and 600# model. No place for an 800# bike dry weight... even with 1000# when u add gas , oil, fluids, put gear in the bags... weight creep will put you overweight.

If you use a trailer with tires, that will significantly reduce the tongue weight, as your tires will carry some of the weight, though it would add rolling resistance.
