The way I understand it you could do that but your key switch would look something like this.

Update on this after reading some of y’all banter on the subject......It has been absolutely flawless and less stress on the solinoid, and less noise in the woods. Before it would click the solinoid on and off constantly if you let off the pedal completely. I can now put it in F or R then turn the key and only get the solinoid click. The solinoid is only activated once now, as opposed to 15-20 times a trip as it would click on and off every time the pedal was completely released then compressed.
I do agree however that if the key is left ON problems will occur, and would not recommend this for a family cart. My wife and kid drive it during the summer and I will install the new micro switch after hunting season so one of them don’t burn it up leaving the key on. But for me, Ive been accustomed to turning the key off every time I park it, and it’s so much more quieter while in the woods setup this way. I like it like this, but as previously mentioned, if your not accustomed to turning the key off, there will be problems. |
