Re: help with digital voltmeter install
charged pack until charger shut off last night and then let pack rest. so i took cart off charger around 8pm last night. checked this morning and pack was at 37.8 after sitting overnight. plugged it in again while at work today, will unplug once i get home, let pack rest and then see what numbers are then.
should i be seeing a higher number than 37.8? also, many thanks for the SoC chart! |

Re: help with digital voltmeter install
Hey bulls,
Nice clean battery pack! No corrosion, no dirt, no spotting! Looks really good. I can't really tell from your picture but I think you may have connections stacked wrong on the NEG post and maybe the others too. In order to get the least resistance and least heat in a connection you want to have the highest amp connector on the bottom. That way it gets the best metal to metal contact with the largest area. Again I can't tell for sure from the pic but you might check it out. Also, don't tighten your battery bolts too tight or they can strip out of the lead. Cart on... Re: help with digital voltmeter install
I would just worry about the motor lead - the big fat one.
The others look to all be the same gauge or size so it probably doesn't make that much difference. If any of them have a larger connector though, put that lower than others. Remember the goal is to minimize the resistance by maximizing the metal to metal surface contact. Also make sure that none of the points where the wires attach get trapped against the contact or another connector and end up forcing the connector faces apart. You should rotate the connectors a few degrees so the wires don't stack up in the same place - keep everything nice and flat. |
