Default Charger issues

I've got a Clays Car 36 volt and am having some issues with the charger. The charger will come on, the needle will go up to about 5 and it will turn off in about 10 minutes. I've tried another charger on it and it charged the batteries up fine. So it is a charger issue. Is there any way to fix the charger or should I be looking for a new one?

Repairing the charger is cheaper than buying a new one 90% of the time. Please give more info on the charger itself, model, ect.

I will look tonight, but I believe it is a Powerwise II.

The charger is a Powerwise II by Lester. Sound like the charger board? Fuse?

5a output sounds like a possible capacitor issue.

Thanks, I actually read the other thread about the Powerwise II charger. Realized they were having the same problem I was having. I bought a capacitor yesterday.
