Re: 2016 Gas Club Car Speed Increase
ge t a high speed kit its a cable with a stronger spring to allow the car to do 20 mph..Or jack the rpm up to about 3200 rpm .. That will give you around 16-17 mph

Re: 2016 Gas Club Car Speed Increase
I have the 2015 with the Suburu EFI engine. Bought the high speed cable but have not installed it. Using a zip tie around the accelerator spring I am getting 24mph

Re: 2016 Gas Club Car Speed Increase
Bought the cable at the dealer but like I said I am not using it.
I have a seat on the back now with a cooler so I can not easily get the access cover off to get a picture. When you open the access cover on the back of the cart. You will see two cables on the right, the shift cable and the accelerator cable. They go to a rocker type of bracket that pivots on the speed sensor and has another cable on the left that goes back forward. Also has two screws that control idle and max speed. The accelerator cable on the right has a spring end. When you are holding the pedal down if the speed sensor detects you are going too fast it pulls back a bit causing the spring to extend. I just took one small zip tie and went through the middle of the spring and around the outside so it can not extend. Think I also made a turn or two on the screw on the left that limits max throttle. Hope this helps. |
