Default OBC dead. 2003 48v club. Source for replacement?

First failure I've had with my cart.

Charger works fine on other carts. Golf cart shop advised it was the OBC.

Play money is tight. New/used, model, etc.

I'd like to swap it myself if it is not complex.

Thanks in advance. I don't *think* it matters, but it has a plum quick grizzly II and a scottyb power package.

BTW - 4 years of hard use on the plum quick and its still awesome.

Thanks in advance.

Can it be removed ? and eliminated ? For free ?

I put bigger cables on my '95 and eliminated the OBC altogether. The charger cuts off automatically so the OBC isn't needed.

You do know that there is a fuse in the charging circuit.

I second removing it altogether. You can get good money selling your existing charger either locally or on eBay. I sold my 96 Powerdrive charger on eBay and only ended up coming out of pocket about $100 for a brand new DPI. When in doubt to justify an expense, think of it as a long term investment!

Thank you for the replies.

Power Drive 2. Model 22110.

Not clear on the options though. 4 ga wire, but my charger wasn't always cutting off on its own.

I'll try to find and check the fuse. That would be a pleasant solution.

The grey one? So - there aren't various makes/models of obc's?

Sorry about the novice questions guys.

There are lots of different replacement OBCs. Give me your vehicle serial number and I"ll tell you which one you need.

According to the wiring diagram the fuse should be in line with the grey wire coming from the charging receptacle or part of the receptacle itself.
