2012 club car precedent having hill trouble

I'm not overly sure about PD batteries anymore but lets assume that the C4 indeed stands for March 2014 batteries so they "should" still be in decent shape if they were properly cared for...

The next step we need to confirm is what is the water level in the batteries? It should be no more than 1/4" to 3/8" above the plates, but do not remove any if it is high...

The next step after water is checking voltage with a meter than can read DC if you don't have one get one as we can't go any further without knowing per battery and total pack voltage...

The water is above the plates. Eta- it has a one point water system thing, and the bottoms of the things that go inside are wet.

The voltage is 7.5-8.5, most of them were at 8.2.

That was after charging.

How long after the charger shut off? My guess is you need new batteries. The one at 7.5 is dead.

7.5 is DEAD
8.2 is needing a charge BADLY
8.5 is GOOD

Take an entire pack reading before and during the charge, report back those volts....

Let's look at this from a different angle just in case it isn't the batteries. (but it certainly looks like it at this point). How does your charger act? When you plug it in does the meter go to 15 amps and drop down to 0amps within a minute? Then it should immediately go back to approx 15 amps and stay there for an hour or two depending on how badly they are discharged. Finally the amps should decrease to 4 or 5 and stay like that for a while (just guessing 30 minutes depending). Then finally shutoff.

Absolutely JJ as at this point we haven't established for sure if it is charging at all; although I suspect that it is due to one battery reading 8.5 volts that one is 100 % charged...

BIP this is why we are asking for voltage before plugging in to charge and WHILE charging to see what the increase is. Later we will bother some more with after charging voltage...

Another silly question. Testing while it's charging, at any point or a specific point during charging?

Is the charger kicking on and off repeatitly? I think your batteries are shot.

No do not continue to run the cart with voltage ranging from 7.5 to 8.2 as the 7.5 is DEAD and any further use will dip the 8.2 voltage batteries further down into the range of DAMAGE to never returning from if not already there.

Plug into the charger and see if the charger settles into a steady output, the amp gauge on the charger reading a steady output nearest to 15 amps. Let it go for 16 hours and then report us some voltage after the charger has shut down for several hours (8 to 12 ideal)
