Re: 2012 club car precedent having hill trouble
It's been 2hrs and it's still at 5.
The guy we bought it from says that you cant get an accurate reading on Tue batteries without taking the cables off. Is that correct? I'll have my husband take them.off and test again if need be. |

Re: 2012 club car precedent having hill trouble
You do not need to remove cables to get a good reading period and end of story, anyone who tells otherwize is not to be trusted.
It can take up to 16 hours to charge batteries so leave it be if the charger is humming, but there is something wrong if it did not say on full charge but a few minutes before dropping to 5 amps.... |

While it's charging can you check the pack voltage. Measure from the battery + red lead to the negative lead that goes through the OBC.

We checked it after we checked all the batteries, before charging it again, and it was at 48. With the charger on it's at 57. We checked the batteries again. The charger shut off between 1:30 and 2 this afternoon and we checked them at 9:30pm. 3 were at 8.2, 1 was at 7.2, one was 8.5 and the last was at 8.4. |

I agree. You definitely need batteries. Get some good ones. Those PD+ batteries aren't the greatest thing in the world. I just sold a local golf course almost 300 batteries to replace their late 2013 PD+ batteries.

Re: 2012 club car precedent having hill trouble
I'm sure this comes as an unexpected and unhappy surprise but sadly many resellers will gladly pass on crappy batteries to the buyer... I paid big bucks for my cart from a big name refurb'ed and discovered within an hour that several of the batteries were NFG

NFG, lol. I like that. Around here we typically use the term DAF for a vehicle with batteries that are completely dead.
