Default RXV light kit questions

I'm shopping around to purchase a street legal light kit for my 2009 48v rxv at the moment. I see online there are two types, ones with brake pedal attachements to engage the brake lights and ones without. This leads me to my first question.

How do I determine if I need the brake pad or is the cart setup to tell the kit the brakes are engaged when I press normal pedal?

Can I install a separate 12v battery for accessories and use this battery for the light kit? I plan to install a separate battery for accessories as to not tamper with carts system but am I able to use this battery for the light kit as well?

Do you recommend a separate battery for accessories altogether or just simply get a reducer? I keep going back and forth on this decision. All help is appreciated.

Thank you for your help and guidance.

What other accessories are you planning on adding?

I plan to add LED strips underneath the body for a glow kit, USB charger in dash for iPhones/bluetooth speaker and the light kit. Down the road i may be interested in an additional LED light bar for head lights in the woods. That should be it for the most part.

I already have a battery charger for additional battery but didn't think i'd run it down in a days usage with these items. Thoughts?

Yes, that will work just fine. I typically use an ATV battery that is sealed for this type of setup, but any small battery will work.

One last question though, will i need the light kit with the brake pad or can i directly wire my pedal to the brake lights? How can i determine if this is possible?

I know it's possible because my RXV has brake lights without a pad on the pedal. The builder gave me a choice about this and wasn't a big deal as far as complexity or price as I recall. Lights, signals and horn are all on the signal stalk like a car. Cart is built on a 2012 fleet chassis and didn't have lights on it originally.

There is 2 different ways that I do brake lights. on those that don't mind the external pad (and want to save labor time) I install the slim pad on the pedal. Those that want a cleaner look, I get the kit that has the switch that goes under the floor in the accel/brake pedal box. Either way will work, it's all about what you want the finished look to be.

Third option: get relay part number 604110. It will allow the motor controller to handle the brake light activation, like would normally happen with factory lights. No problems with funky switches, or lights staying on.
