Does it really make that much of a difference if I connect the negative from reducer to the battery pack or to the bullet connector controller ground? Just going to be running the light kit and some led underbody lights.

It only matters if you want the OBC to account (calculate) for the usage of your lights and accessories for the recharging sequence. Some do and Some don't.

I guess my thought is it also keeps the battery posts much cleaner (less clutter) and the connection is a little further away from the acid mess we get from time to time....

Yes, the batteries will be better looked after and therefore last longer (which is worth money ).

Thanks. I like Speed Tech block. Doesn't hurt to save a few bucks to spend on more cart goodies. Sorry for all the questions. Still learning and like to do things right the first time.
So with the fuse block:
Red from reducer to +of batt.#1
Black from reducer to bullet connector B-
Yellow from reducer to positive side of key switch
Green (+12v) to fuse block
Black (-12v) to fuse block
Does this sound like the best way?
Also have heard of connecting both black wires fro reducer together. Any thoughts?
