Default 95 DS quit

I was at the campground and my neighbors 95 DS 48 volt club car quit. He said the other day it started to go slow and barely go let off the pedal and pushed it down and it chugged and then took off. Now it quit. If you try to go you can feel it try and move then nothing. Let off the pedal push it down it won't do anything if you turn the key off and then on you can feel the motor engage then it does nothing. Does it have a bad controller, potentiometer or possibly bad motor?

Here's the obvious first; What is the pack voltage right now? IF you verify that is good, then check the potentiometer on the pedal. Look under and check everything (cables, wires, linkages, etc.) I check all the small stuff first.

Agreed. Check voltage at a standstill and again when you are try ing to go and the cart is not able. Post those 2 readings here.

So I think it would need the Mcor to MCOR4 conversion for 1995.5 up?

Update after sitting all night long I drove it off the trailer and into the barn to work on. Seems like the potentiometer is working fine. Should I be looking at the motor or something else?

Go read this thread http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/elect...peed-only.html for what I believe is the same type cart your neighbor has (Note- we both help neighbors!)

You will find several test procedures in there from Sergio to help me determine what was wrong. I think they will help you determine yours......

Good Luck!
