Really isn't that much pressure on it, the helix is a tight fit when it's installed. You'll probably need a puller o get it off. I push them down by hand to get them lined up then tap back into place with a hammer and large socket.
Can it be taken apart and reinstalled without screwing up anything..... Would it have to be readjusted settings or anything?

It's pretty straight forward. Tricky part is turning the sheave so the helix lines up properly with the buttons. The spring preloads the clutch when you twist the sheave so you have to get it turned about a half turn then press the helix down the rest of the way. If you don't get it turned far enough the clutch opens too easy and you lose torque on hills.

I made my clutch compressor with a 5/8 all tread and some big washers and nuts. the other piece is from a aftermarket steering wheel adapter. It works perfect.
