Default best way to charge your club car

Hi guys,

Is it ok to leave my 1993 club car with the charger parked in 24/7 when not in use?

What they mean is yes BUT, it won't do any harm or any good UNLESS your charger is one like these with a float mode like these examples below

The factory charger will charge your batteries, turn itself off, and won't re-start unless you unplug it and re-insert the plug. If you're storing your cart for any long period of time, this won't be sufficient to keep it charged. You'd have to get a smart charger like the ones that Scotty mentioned.

I thought the Club car chargers would turn on and recharge after 13 days?

I just left my Precedent plugged in for 14 Days, and it did not come on again, when I got back to the car today my pack voltage was at 49.9 volts.

Might be time for a new charger.

This is a 36 volt. Totally different animal.

And yes your 48 volt club car is supposed to turn on every 14 days and recharge. But this feature is famous for not working like it's supposed to.

My OBC triggers mine fine (PD3) but I seldom go that long except on vacations. It worked in April while we were on vacation and a friend called to tell me he was in my garage borrowing the compressor and my charger kicked on and startled him. He said when he came back the night it had cycled off.
