Default 94 CC DS Electric rear springs

I recently purchased a cart as a project and have completely torn it down. My question is that the parts diagrams show the standard spring as a single leaf and most HD springs are 3 or 4 leaves. My cart has two. They were not clamped together at all and in fact both had twisted a bit. They were bolted together with a standard bolt. The shorter leaves were also somewhat rough square cut, but pretty rusty so hard to tell if they were homemade a cut or factory. Anyone have some insight?

Sounds home made to me. I had a 99 cart and cut the ends off the old springs and mounted them to the new one to give two spring.

Sounds homemade to me. If it's all torn apart, think about what you intend to do with the cart. You might just want to take the short ones out. Or put new ones in if they are weak.

I am actually working with a spring manufacturer to build a new leaf pack to provide lift and more travel as well as better ride quality. I just need a starting point to develop spring rates.
