Default Stock clutch

Was wondering if anybody can tell me I want to put an engine in my 1990 club car that has a 1 inch shaft do I have to get a different clutch

What engine?
No you don’t, but you’ll need an adapter and have to cut down the 1” shaft if it’s too long.
