Angry How Do I Get This Club Car Steering Wheel Plate Off without Destroying It???

I'm swapping steering wheels on my '90 and have not gotten past the removal of the plastic plate that covers the middle. I've got it loose at the bottom where there are two tabs on the backside that can be easily popped with a screwdriver, but the top part where the clip thingy mounts is held on by something and I'm not sure where to pry without busting the whole thing.

All the YouTube videos made about removing these steering wheels skip this part as if it's no big deal (?) Help!

Good luck with the rest Spring! I sure hope yours isn't seized on like mine was. I had to cut it off as none of the "tricks" I learned helped. And believe me, I tried them all! Out of the two dozen or so I've done, with the exception of my personal cart, they've all come off by putting the knees underneath and striking the center stem (with nut on to protect the threads) with a BFH.

Mine was seized. I wasn't able to save the steering wheel. Ah well.
