Re: What is this Tube for ??
Look right above it and you should see a brass screw in the side of the carburetor bowl, which is the drain screw. This line is only used if you drain the gas from the bowl before you remove it. If the cart has any age to it, most of them have dry rotted and never been replaced.

Re: What is this Tube for ??
I've never seen a line connected to the drain nipple!
I can see how it could be useful when draining the bowl every winter though! (if needed) And no... there shouldn't be fuel in the line (but, there is)... my guess is the bowl drain plug drips every once in a while, and the line was a quick fix to keep from stinking up the garage or shed. .02 |

Re: What is this Tube for ??
The other end should not be hooked to anything but I have seen some crazy things. I have seen screws, matchsticks and other things used to plug the line but it should just be open.
The line should not have anything in it, but if the other end is plugged or the line is kinked or zip tied too tightly to the something it will not drain properly. |

Re: What is this Tube for ??
considering it is a NEW carb, so I was told it should not leak.
basically i could remove this tube if desired and see if it drips or not. thanks for the insight and info guys |

Or, for now... empty the line, and see if it refills.
