Steering trouble after installing lift.
I installed a 6” lift on my club car president. When I turn the tire inward it does not stop. I can almost have the tire in a 90 degree. I aligned the tires a couple times to see if the was the problem but it still did it. It’s almost like the steering box should have a limit of how far it will go and stop it. The steering is tight and all works fine except this. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Steering trouble after installing lift.
The only thing I did with the rack and pinion (steering box) is unbolt it and bolted it back on.

Re: Steering trouble after installing lift.
Did your wheel turn too many times during installation? Sounds to me like you had the wheel make an extra rotation or two before reinstalling the tie rod ends. Thus it steers too far one direction and not enough travel in the other.

Re: Steering trouble after installing lift.
Also if you reverse the sides of the spindles you would have similar issues. You installed something incorrectly as there should not be that much travel in the steering. You should only get 3.4 turns of the wheel from all the way right to all the way left.

Re: Steering trouble after installing lift.
I will redo it and make sure the steering wheel is straight. It does this on both wheels.
