mike,
I understand to leave well enough alone but physically speaking, what possiblly could happen. Do you really think that the spring steel could break?
just curious....

Wow! Alot of great info right here. I am at this cross-roads now as I try to figure which way I want to go. I don't need the top long travel ride, but want better than stock. Which long travel kit would I NOT need spacers on the rear to make both axles track the same? Or should I say, I want the same track of both axles. (trailer issues)

Sorry OP I hope this will be quick as not to hijack too much

scotty, i agree with what you are saying about true a arm suspensions. i would also like to see some video (speed verified) of you sipping champagne at 30 mph in any cart of your choosing while skimming a disced field full of ruts. i have seen a lot of high $ supensions racing in mexico, but not to many people sipping champagne while flying across the 'washboards'. sippy cup is not allowed, it has to be a fluted champagne cup.

i wait while you get your video together.

cutting your spring isn't a good idea. for offroading some people re-arch their springs with heat to make them softer, or stiffer. try finding an off road fab shop that does suspension work......maybe they will be able to help you get a little more out of your budget font end.
