Default 36v series v glide upgrade

hey, I have an 02 (i believe) club car series motor cart. It has a V Glide with a resistor bar. It has very poor throtle control and very little torque. It goes around 16 mph. It has 20 inch mud tires and small lift. It just about gets bogged down in thick grass and will hardly climb a ramp to load it on a trailer. Anyway I need more torque. What should I do? And how do i get rid of the resistor bar.

WELCOME to BGW !!!
You will need a 48v upgrade. You will need to replace everything except the motor. Search threads about 48v upgrade or 48v conversion .....

you could have your motor upgraded for more torque by a motor modifier and that will perk your cart up, its the best bang for your buck.

I'm with FIXER on this.... if you remove your resistor bar the only speed your car will know is wide open, no matter where you've got your pedal. 36V Cars are just weak... it's the nature of the beast.

I have a 36v v-glide that I'm converting to 48v now. I took my time searching and pricing then purchased the items as I went along. Pretty pricey to do the upgrade, but from everything I hear from those that have done it, its worth it.

Not only do you get the torque and more speed, you don't risk the wires getting hot when rolling slow or with a heavy load.

I went with the Altrax 4855, CB-6, 400amp solenoid, delta-q on-board charger and 4 AWG wire. Also finally adding my converter in the loop so I can run the lights and radio off the pack.
