Battery#6 (NEG) terminal through the front of the OBC ("front" plate facing battery compartment)?

I am surprised your 4ga won't go through, put a little WD40 or lube on it should slide right through. I was even able to get the brand of 2ga welding cable that I use through it, it was tight but a lot of lube and it made it.

Sorry, should have been more descriptive. I used "marine grade" 4 gauge...has an inner sheath as well as a thicker casing than standard 4 gauge. Bought some regular battery cable (4 gauge) for this one run and it fit fine.

Can somone elaborate on this? Im getting ready to cut a new cable and run it through the OBC and want to make sure I have the direction right before soldering it back together
I am not seeing how there is a particular direction.
Thanks.

Welcome to BGW!

There is no electrical reason other than making sure the appropriate lug ends are installed AFTER the cable passes through the OBC.

Nice eleven year old thread!
