How do i fix sloppy steering?
i have two 1979 club car caroche's one has very loose and sloppy steering, but it has no problem turning the tires all the way you just need to spin the steering wheel more than needed. so how do i fix that? and the other cart will tern all the way to the right but it will only tern about 30% of what it should to the left. let me know of anyways to fix theses issues thanks for the help.

Re: How do i fix sloppy steering?
Have you checked each tie rod end for wear as this is normally where slop shows up. Have some one rock steering wheel slightly from side to side and have some one under cart checking for loose points.
Second cart may have steering gear connected off center, just unhook first tie rod link ( from steering gear to linkage ) and turn steering wheel clear to right and then clear to left while counting turns, then turn back to center and then hook tie rod end back up should solve your problem. |
