Default charging in run or tow mode?

I have 2007 PDS , I read on a previous post to put it in tow mode when charging and your not going to drive it for a while.Should I put it in tow mode every time I charge or does it matter?

No need to put in tow to charge.

the reason I ask, is it seems to take along time to charge even if the cart has only been driven a short distance, it's a powerwise II charger that came with the cart with i bought it a couple of month's ago, the guy at the ez-go dealer from where i bought it said the chargers are set for a 12hr charge cycle,is this correct. I thought the charger's read the voltage from the batteries and would shut off when they were at full charge.

I could be wrong but I think your dealer is full of poo. The chargers should sense voltage. They might have a timer that shuts it off after 12 hours for safety reasons but would cook batteries if it charged 12 hours everytime you plugged it in.

I would use a hydrometer and check all cells of the batteries. I found one batterie on my cart the readings were low on two cells. Changed out batterie and the unit started charging properly.

is a hydrometer the best way to check the batteries for a bad cell?

The Hydrometer works well for me on my Cart, Boat, and RV. Deap cycle batterries have a high amp load and I have had several batteries pass a load test and fail with the hydrometer. Replacing the batterie has solve several problems on my RV and Cart when the Hydrometer showed the batterie to be bad they were bad. I do not know if it is the best way to check but it works very well for the $15 or so for a hydrometer.

my cart also does not seem to charge very fast. The meter on the charger always goes to 20 or so ni matter how long we have been riding. Is this what it should do?
