The solenoid is still kinda overkill unless the app. is drawing mucho amps, With the amps/wattage draw the OP is describing I would lean more toward the smaller relay.

We wanted to tie it to a separate on dash toggle switch to insure no drain over time from a self activated amplifier, lights or 12v outlet. This way we know when 12v system is being used or not.
We went ahead a put on a continuous duty and once again the forum has provided the final information needed. Project is now complete and i think we got the power and torque we were looking for per the attached picture plus a marine spec mp3 that sounds above average - especially for a dual purpose hunting by morning and beer drinking by evening cart, Thanks to everyone for the feedback i am putting the remaining pixs on my original string on members carts. |
