Thanks husker………sicko! I needed someone to show me how to actually put the pictures on the computer. Also, resize them (so they aren’t 1000 gb) and add arrows to explain stuff. Turns out, you need a program for that. The kid showed me a free program (photscape I believe) that can do all that stuff and more! I’m a sergeant at my fire department and it’s one of my firefighter’s kids. Next week………. it’s video 101

Husker, I know I’m new but obviously you know how to upload a picture. I would be willing to write a thread on step by step instructions to post a picture and the free software that is used. I didn’t find one but maybe I didn’t look hard enough. Now that I have been enlightened by the powers of our youth!

I take pictures with my wife’s 18 MP camera and load the pictures onto a PC. Is that the answer you want when you say “what are you loading from”? I guessing you are wondering why my pictures where so large? A 18 MP camera is why……..I think (BTW it’s not 1000GB but still pretty big).
AND…………….when do I get to find out who Boo is?????????????

Superman, I had to learn years ago that big megapixels are not real good for uploading to the net. You need to set your camera resolution to it's lowest setting for pics to upload. most now days only go down to 1 meg. But that usually makes for easy down loads and you can't tell the difference on the screen anyway.

Wskrs, thanks for the info. My wife LOVES taking pictures so that complicated contraption she calls a camera is not way out of my league . I can barely figure out how to push the button . I just have a software program that I can change the size and quality of the pictures. This way, I still keep the original and if I need to, I can zoom WAYYYY in to see any detail.
