Plowman's Posi?
I have a 97 ez DCS with a "spicer" rear end. I am interested in a plowmans posi, however it says 98-up... was there a change between 97-98 that would make this not work. Also is this a true posi, will it not be friendly around the neighborhood? Should I call plowman's?

Re: Plowman's Posi?
HD, bad news dude. In 99 EZGO went with larger spider gears in the diff. Plowmans’s , and all others, only make a kit that fits 99 and up. Madoc1 found a donor axle from a newer EZGO and was able to just switch out the gear assembly. With the new assembly, he was able to put the posi unit in.
I am currently doing the same thing. I went by my local EZGO dealer and sure enough…….there was a 2001 axle from a smashed cart. The axle was fine and I was able to get it for $50! |

Re: Plowman's Posi?
Good info. I will check with my local shop and see if they have one laying around.

Re: Plowman's Posi?
I just installed mine and it took about 30 minutes and works perfectly. It functions the same as a posi unit in a car, only pulls posi when going straight, disengages when turning.
