My project... (I need help)
Okay, I'm doing this and finishing it, my carts been sitting too long, it's time it gets finished (even though I have hardly any money, I need to make some form of progress on the next steps).
1986 EZGO 2-stroke. First of all, I think the solenoid is shot, I don't think it was when I bought it but, me being me I think I blew it when I was trying to get it to suck gas. I had it rigged enough to get the starter to turn and finally got the microswitch wired up, but now when I try I don't even hear a click or anything. The previous owner completely screwed up the wiring, for what reason I have no clue, but I will have to rewire everything, sometime. I need to get this thing cranking and running in some form so I can tell if I need to pull the engine out before I decide to put the time into completely rewiring it. Honestly I think the engine is fine, but who knows, but I gotta get this cart cranking so I can do a compression test or test this fuel pump I salvaged. Questions I have: 1. I need pictures, I can read the diagrams and schematics but pictures of pretty colorful wires help, lol, like I said this carts wiring has been rigged and screwed. Specifically, the solenoid, but anything around the FNR switch plate. 2. Is there a way I can get the starter to crank? Like bypass the solenoid so I can test this engine/fuel pump until I can buy a new solenoid. I'm sure I have another question but my laptop battery is about to die and I can't think right now lol. Thanks for the help. |

Bump and solenoid is not shot, tested continuity on the two large studs, no continuity.

Re: My project... (I need help)
Okay, got the golfcart to turn again. Question, I got the fuel pump taken off, how much pressure should I be feeling coming from the hole that the fuel pump sits on? Should it be pushing my finger off of it or what?
