I looked up the numbers, but doesn't match ANYTHING. At least for the numbers posted for U.S. carts. I agree - prototype. This is going to be a bad azz cart - one of a kind when your done! I CAN tell you the Japanese writing on that sticker below the drivers seat - says "Forward" and "Reverse".

Did you get it to run yet?

If I remember right, this is what SmallBlock Dave told us last time. I'm sure Dave will chime in soon.

You are exactly right Cajun! These were imported from Japan in containers after they were used. See the pics at this link:

I did a Google for Yamaha GN7.

Thank goodness I don't need any obvious parts yet or I would be building them.
The problem I am having now is where do I get a lift kit and a back seat? I guess I can build a back seat but the lift kit??

Since you guy's think I know so much, I'll try to awnser a few questions. First, It is (I beleaive) called a G31-a "Turf Joy". A Japanese car, but a web search showed they may have been exported to Australia and other places. Yes they are showing up in USA form Japanese/Chiniese exporters in containor ships and sold on ebay ect. Now for the meat...Useing my Yamaha parts web site, I can not find parts (useing JN7 as a model number) with normal part #'s for such things as body parts ect., sorry. Good and bad news. The engine JN6- is the same as the G16-a and uses a very basic ignition system, the air box is not familure to me and a air filter would have to be searched. The starter/generator-G16, the clutch (like Mike said) looks like a G2 style, but could be the newer style just started useing on The Drive, secondary and transaxle (like Mike said) Yamaha diff and G16 style secondary. I beleive, without a picture the 4 wheel drum brakes would be Bendix G16/Umax style. Rear suspenssion, just coil over shocks. Now front suspension...not a standard rack assy, looks like the "struts" used on G5's (and no longer available), I think a lift would be difficult, not the back, but the front. There are alot of smarter people then me and anything is possible if you decide to do that. So, as for getting it up and running, I see no problem, as for ordering cosmetic parts, seems there all there, clean and paint. Seats?, maybe some cool ones from site sponsor www.xt-innovations.com For a rear facing seat, an aftermarket one could allways be made to work with some fabbed brackets, but there square tubing would not match the round tubing on your car. Hope that helped alittle.
