auxillary battery confusion

I have been searching and searching and cannot find the solution. Any help would be great!! I have a 96 CC DS 48V that will be running stereo, subwoofer and amp, headlights and neons. Looking to run a separate battery, but there is not much room under there! I was going to use a tender to charge it separately. Would a lawnmower battery work? or would i need a bigger battery? also, where can i mount it as there is not much room under there!!

Thank you for that information. I did watch that video, but the bagwell will be used for my floating subwoofer. It would need to be mounted underneath. any ideas?

mine is in the basket behind the seat and i use a solar charger to keep it toped up
i tried a motorcycle battery but did not last very long

i would use an Optima YellowTop Deep Cycle 12 Volt .. they can be mounted on thier side

i ended up fabricating a bracket in front of the computer on the cart right behind the 6 pack of batteries. I fabbed the bracket to the frame of the cart. the battery is on a sliiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight tilt forward as it goes with the frame. Will this cause any issues with the battery?

i would think that a tilt would uncover the lead fins (?)

AGM batteries like Optima, and other flat plate AGM, and gelled cell batteries won't leave plates exposed and dry in any position, but they may have some restrictions based on either the catylist position, or over pressure vent.

A wet plate battery will loose capacity if any part of the plates are left dry for more than a fraction of an hour at a time, and may be impacted to a lesser extent if charged/uncharged with part of the plates temporarily uncovered. Personally, I might accept the slant and the impact, just for the ability to have the auxillary battery. Then consider one of the marine AGM batteries when it needs replaced. The marine AGM is no good as a cart battery, but is well suited for auxillary use.

they make a dual stack kit for the jeep wrangler ... just saying

The batteryI ended up using is a Deep Cycle Marine battery
