Default starter keeps running

hello all I have a 2003 Yamaha g22, I use it mainly at my camp ground,The other day, it started funny, not slow just didn't sound right. I went for a ride, worked great and when i stopped the starter was still running, the only way to turn it off was pull a cable of battery.

Its the start stop switch under the accelerator. My g29 did the same. Theres a little small steel ball inside this switch that is spring loaded. The ball most likley came out and is causing this condition. I couldnt repair mine but a replacement on ebay was 45$

Thats how mine started at first. It was intermittant. Then it was all the time. While i was troubleshooting in the first place i reached and touched the metal casing on the switch and it was scorching hot. Im pretty sure its the problem. Remove the floor mat and you can discinnect this switch and see if it stops the starter from running all the time.
