I'd check oil level, than pull back cover. Needs to be done any way.

Ok, well popped off the cover, and took a peak. I rolled it every way I could, and could not see anything in the differential or gears that I could see that looked bad. Now, I am really stumped. The rearend was hard to roll over, and since the belt had been slipping I went ahead and cut the belt so I could put on a new one. Well as soon as the belt was off the rearend turned free as a can be, and never locked up. So then I thought maybe it was the motor. So I hit the gas, and the motor ran perfectly. I'm out of my field now. The belt had been slipping a little bit before take off for a few days, and I had planned to get a new one when this happened. The belt was all the way down in the bottom of the groove on the back pulley, and felt rather tight. Could the belt cause the rear end to lock up?

Thanks Mike, i will do that. I will add that when I took the seat off to inspect the belt was in the bottom of the secondary, and was in the top of the groove of the primary. If I understand this correctly shouldn't it be reversed while sitting still?

Yes, start by pumping one pump of grease from a grease gun into each zirk on each clutch.

Sounds like both clutches are dry

Today I inspected the primary clutch. The pulley was completely closed, and locked in position hard. I pulled the cover, and BINGO. One of the weights had some how slipped past the roller. I ended up having to take the bolts out of the weight and putting it back in place. It seems to be working fine now, but makes me think I might need to rebuild the clutch. My question is should I replace the entire clutch with a new one, or just overhaul this one. Where is the best place to locate parts? From what I have seen so far I can almost just buy a replacement clutch for not much more than the parts to rebuild one. Thanks for all the input! It is greatly appreciated.

I let Plowmans rebuilt the clutch on the G22. I'm more than happy with the results.

Thanks for the help guys, I'm calling Plowman's tomorrow and talking to them about rebuilding my primary, and getting some parts for my secondary.
Thanks again.

They rebuilt my primary when I installed the hot set up last year. They did a great job and was fairly priced. You can always call them for more information. You may want a primary clutch puller to help remove the clutch from the engine so you won't have to fight with it.
