Well I got my 4 gauge cable to pass through the computer hole by grinding flat the two sides of the battery connector. I then reset me OBC per the instructions posted on the stickies. Now my original problem is back and that is that the cart shutters and shakes as if no juice. I pushed it back to the garage (always and enjoyable time) and when I plug in my charger it runs for about 10 minutes then kicks the little 15 amp breaker switch on the front of the charger. I have sat there and held different wires and fail to find any getting hot.

Thoughts would be appreciated.

Ok new update while charging I have found a source of heat. The metal plate of the OBC right above where the small yellow, black and red wires enter into the OBC is getting rather warm and seems to get hot enough it's uncomfortable to hold a finger on it.

Is there any means to test this component? how expensive are they and should it be upgraded or replaced with stock?

Sorry to bug everyone but this is driving me crazy.

I believe I have the final update. Once I got the 4 gauge wire to pass through the OBC I did the reset thats when the breaker started kicking off on my charger. It dawned on me that prior to that the charger and everything else was working it was only charging for about 10 minutes though. I also noticed that it was pegging my meter at 20 Amps for the whole time and that the circuit breaker is only a 15 amp. So scouring this forum and about 15 pages deep I found a post where the battery was so dead that it was kicking off the charger but after two or three cycles of this it then charged to capacity and was fine.

I had drained my batteries to the limits thinking it was charging while my ground was outside the OBC which controls primarily the charge and it was pushing my charger to its limit. after 3 cycles of about 10 minutes and resetting the breaker it then dropped down to around the 15 amp mark and charged all evening. This morning it is running great and there is no flashing battery light.

Life is good!!! thanks for everyones help and insight.

It sounded like maybe it was passing through without any rubber coating, and that would cause a problem...

I got my 4 gauge wire to pass through the hole by lubricating it with liquid soap. Without the connector.
