Is it really too old?
I have a 1979 Yamaha G-1, I've lost two of the weights out of the clutch. Strange shaped lil suckers. six sides and I do have a picture?

Re: Is it really too old?
These are good carts, if they have been maintained. But, old parts eventually do wear out and need to be replaced. I'd look into a used clutch, if on a budget. Rebuilding your clutch it an option, but you have to replace ALL the weights and pins when you do it, prob gonna cost $150 or more? Just a guess.
