Deep cycle buggy batteries run for hours at a time, with DEEP discharge occurring before recharging, which takes hours. A car (or even a big Caterpillar) battery runs for a few seconds to crank the engine, then the alternator (or charger for generator cranking batteries) immediately starts recharging them. Totally different usage. Also, since your cart has multiple batteries connected in series, discharge and charging make amp-hour, age, and voltage matching a requirement.
