I bought Trojan golf cart t875 batteries for 120.00 each. Those seem high price.

He's looking at 12v batteries not 8v. So I guess we assume he's got an earlier Precedent, which used 12's before Club Car abandoned the 12 volt idea? In any case the Trojan T1275 appears to have 25% MORE capacity than these (280 min @ 25A vs. 204 min @ 25A - assuming Interstate's numbers are real).

Since the T1275's are already "marginal" in terms of battery life (which is one of the main reasons why CC abandoned them), these would likely perform much poorer. Personally, I suspect they are a bad idea (but I've never even seen or used them - just doing the numbers). Specs wise...the SRM-4D (from the interstate chart) appears comparable to Trojan in terms of capacity/longevity.

Save yourself some grief and don't but marine batteries. Get deep cycle golf cart batteries. They are not the same.

Problem is I don't have the money for the cheaper ones and the Trojans are basically 200.00 a piece. I live in NY things are pricier. Any help you can tho my way beside spend more money would be great. All your help is appreciated. Thx

If they are the correct size and voltage you can use them. Thing is will they hold up for what you want. Only one way to find out. If they work out great, if they don't I call that gaining experience. I have gained a lot in my day.

Those srm 29s are not golf cart batteries. You will be throwing away money using those batteries. They will work for a very short period of time. Get deep cycle golf cart batteries.

If you have a friend who belongs to Sam's Club have them see if they can get you a set of batteries there or convert it to 6 8v batteries
