Lifts "axel" or "spindle"?
I am looking at lifting my ezgo electric PDS cart to fit a 23-10.5-12 tires.
What is my best bet? I don't what it higher than it needs to be just high enough not to scape. |

Re: Lifts "axel" or "spindle"?
I have always been a drop axle fan. I have the OEM 4 inch lift on my workhorses with 23 inch tires and I can make them scrape but I am pushing the suspension hard when they do.

My brother had the Jakes 6 inch spindle lift and it drastically increased his turning radius. He needed a 2 lane road to turn around.. Did yours do this?

I like spindle, my turning radius is a lot better than my brothers drop axle kit

Wonder if Jakes changed something? 2 years ago my drop axle was easily a foot tighter radius but who knows..

Re: Lifts "axel" or "spindle"?
Has anyone just used like HD rear springs and maybe the HD coil over front springs to get just a little lift? I would like to get an inch or 2 and maybe a bit wider stance (spacers or offset wheels, steel would be fine) and use either 10" or 12" wheels, don't need aggressive tires. Up and down hill on gravel road and grass, adding rear seat, lots of passengers and kids.

Re: Lifts "axel" or "spindle"?
My first cart had a 6" Jakes spindle. My second cart was lifted with a RHOX 6" drop axle. I will stick with drop axle for now on. It rode better and steering was not so scary at high speed.
