Re: '91 EZ-Go Marathon TXT Electric battery help
I'm starting to see a trend here. Apparently women don't know that carts, or anything with a motor in it, are females, just like ships and airplanes. Then again...........I think I understand.

Re: '91 EZ-Go Marathon TXT Electric battery help
Now wait a min, lol. I'll explain... There are "things" in my life that seem to have lives of their own. I find they often take directional changes not planned by me.
Now my F350 truck for example is a she. She works hard, never quits, takes care business.Shes funny, moody, expensive to maintain and no one touches her but me. A serious partner no dought about it. She helps me do the muscle work I would other wise not be able to do by myself. Now my cart, well he has been a good boy most of the time. But he hitchhiked his way from NC to Texas on big truck. He will run for anyone, was once talked into leaving home. Has has little thingies I'll just never understand. And my car well its just a car, has no life of its own and no personality. It's barely metal. I'm just a girl at heart and can make a pet out of just about anything, lol. |

Re: '91 EZ-Go Marathon TXT Electric battery help
Hello EZ-GOnewild
Well heres the up date: I used the diagram posted by CC to again check my connections. Big giddy hug waits for CC,lol. The good news is he moved and he's alive! And I take that means theres no major or costly problems. They did not kill'em,lol. But hes VERY slow and just not quite right. According to his charger he is charged, (again all new matched batteries) so cycling is still needed I'm sure. I took him out to the mail box (about a 1/2 mile) at almost a crawl, gutsy or stupid there I'm sure. But we made it back and back on to the charger. At no point was there any loss of power. I just have never seen him move so slow. The other thing I did notice is the back up buzzer is not working. Which for the first time ever just seems odd. I'll figure that out. I'm just glad nothing was frozen stuck, lmao. I'm no mechanic or anything so this will not be a surprise question... Does he have one of those speed regulating chips somewhere or no? Speed for me has always been dictated by how much or little you press the pedal. So I was thinking if he did have one maybe it was bypassed or something. Do I really want one ahhh I don't think so. But if he does have one I would like to know. |

Your cart won't have the speed chip thing. Do you happen to have a volt meter and know how to use it?

Re: '91 EZ-Go Marathon TXT Electric battery help
Im pretty sure the cart is a controller cart, never seen a wiper board placed that far back, did you check the water in the batteries? Also make sure all cables are tight enough that they wont move when you try to move them.Good luck with your ezgo marathon once you get them going they seem to run forever.
