1965 Jato Walker Executive Resto
Hello all,
This is my first post here. I am in the process of restoring a 1965 Jato Walker golf cart. It has the original Kohler engine and drive line and it is complete. However I don't want to run the Original engine and drive line any more. I was wondering if there would be some way that I could retro fit an electric system and drive line in the gasoline engines place? I don't want to hack it to pieces doing this. Here is a link to what it should look like when it is completed: Jato Walker Executive Thanks in advance!! |

I am not a sparkler man ,I think a modern elec motor and axle could be fitted and the batts
could be fitted. think volume not area. you should have room to stack the batts in that older, higher body. WE DEMAND LOTS OF PICS. |

It would be cool to have one of these to ride in the subdivision but they must cost a ton.

I will post some pics as soon as I get things fully under way. They aren't too bad if you can find them in unrestored condition. That red one there in the pic that you posted would run several thousand dollars in that condition. I saw one at a steam show w/ the sun canopy and everything and I think the guy said he paid $8,000 for it but it was PERFECT.
We got ours for $1600.00. as soon as I get my compressor moved (large vertical Ingersoll Rand) the restoration will officially begin!! |

Hey Fatcat I restored the same cart 2 years ago. I love my 1965 walker, and so do most others who see it. I paid 1800, and fully restored from the ground up. Good luck and post pictures.

Re: 1965 Jato Walker Executive Resto
I've got two of these. I fixed one up and ran it for a few years. It's been parked for a year and needs a carb kit and tubes for the tires, but it runs. The kids would drive it till it ran out of gas, then I'd clean the spark plug and refill and they'd run it for another two hours.
The second one is missing the engine and clutch, but has a good body. I'd sell them if anyone's interested. Adam hadum1@gmail.com http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fb...6339663&type=1 |
