Default 1986 ezgo 2 cycle will not start.

Ok guys i rebuilt ezgo 2 cycle motor. Everything is hooked back up and we can get it running by putting our hand over the throttle. Other tham that it cranks and cranks and cranks. Compression is about 115. From what I've been reading that is low but shouldnt it still start. Also **** back up alarm starts going off as soon as the battery is hooked up.

Let's start with the easy one. The backup buzzer is on its own microswitch in the forward reverse switch. It is most likely stuck shut. Follow the wire off of the key switch to find it on the driver's side.

Now for the real problem.
You rebuilt it. Did you put the piston in with the square port facing the intake side?

Did you put the rings bevel side up with the ends aligned with the little pins in the ring groove?
If you answered, " I don't know" to either of those questions, that's where you need to start.

Did you plug the hole in the top of your intake manifold?

I assume that you changed the crankshaft seals, and the fuel pump. You probably cleaned the carb real good too.

Did you check the condition of the reed valves?
Take some pictures of the engine. Let us see what we are dealing with.

Nice looking battery cables.

Did you change the crankshaft seals?

I see the oil injection is disconnected. Did you plug the hole in the manifold?

I would like a better shot of the carburetor.

Hey thanks alot. Alot of good info in that manual. I found the problem to be just a little bit of dirt clogging my carburetor. Put a new fuel filter on too. It runs good, little sluggish on hills but ill figure that out. Thanks again. 2 cycle golf carts are funny, sound like a pissed off bubble bee. Lol.

I did change the crank seals. New crank, piston, carb, fuel pump/filter, bearings. Compression is holding at 105.
