Rebuilding ezgo
I am rebuilding a 1995 ezgo medalist gas cart for my mother. It currently had the 295cc Fiji in it. She wants a little more power out of it I already did custom clutch work shorter belt . She would like it to stay quite so no exhaust mod. She wad able to climb hills with 4 people thus summer. And I serviced this winter only to find that it has 30 psi compression on 1 cylinder and 70 on the other. I'm replacing all etarnials but my big question was can you put the 350 cc pistons (oviously with a bore job) in the 295 cc?

Re: Rebuilding ezgo
I'm basically asking is it possible with the 295cc block to fit the bigger 350cc pistons with just a bore job?

Re: Rebuilding ezgo
Before you do anything have you checked the valve clearance?

Re: Rebuilding ezgo
Definitely set the valves. I'm surprised it runs at all that should make a huge difference.

Re: Rebuilding ezgo
The valves were completely smoked so I replaced and now it smokes like a freight train. So that confirmed rings are shot .

Re: Rebuilding ezgo
Take a look at the specs and do the math. Probably the issue was that the engine was losing compression for a long time and she felt that as a loss of power. By simply rebuilding the 295 back to spec, she will have a significant improvement in power.

Re: Rebuilding ezgo
It is out of spec and just with doing the valves there was a massI've improvement. I was wondering if anyone has done this because I would like to put these pistons in also.
