The 2 little wires that go to the top of the solenoid they were unclear what side they were supposed to go to. Could those be backwards and be my problem?
I have a stock G29. When I flip the regen switch from tow to run the solenoid clicks. Not sure if the aftermarket solenoids operate in the same way. I'm about to do the same upgrade as you so I'm watching closely!

The solenoid does not decide if it turns on or not when the tow/run switch is flipped, the controller does. The operation of the solenoid is managed by the controller, and aftermarket controllers may manage the solenoid a little differently than the oem controller. I have done some XCT controllers in Drives, but i cant remember if it briefly activates the solenoid when the tow switch is flipped to Run like the stock controller does. I am sure that the solenoid is not supposed to be on all the time.

My Alltrax does NOT activate the solenoid when I flip the run/tow switch to run.
