2007 G29 YDREE does nothing
It just stopped working one day so I assumed batteries were bad because we didn't take care of them properly through the winter. I took batteries to O'Reilly's who confirmed they were bad.
So I replaced them with new ones. STILL NOTHING. No click, no reverse beeping, no sound or stopping when I try and push it by hand. I ordered new solenoid and checked 3A fuse, hoping that would do the trick but still nothing happened. I have a 3" lift, bigger tires, and haul 2 adults and 3 small children. After reading several threads, I'm assuming my controller and/or motor is out. Is there anything I can do before ordering these expensive parts? |

Bad batteries are hard on the controller. My bet is that your controller has failed.

Is there a controller you would recommend? Should I upgrade to more amps or put the original 290Amp back in it? If I upgrade controller to say 400A, would i need to upgrade solenoid and cables also? |

Yea
If replacing a bad controller, A little extra $$ for 400 amp is good Gives Room to upgrade , & not always working at max Cables to at least # 4 awg welding cable, Can wait till the solenoid fails to replace, may last years |

Re: 2007 G29 YDREE does nothing
I went ahead and ordered the 500A XCT from ScottyB's with a 400A Solenoid and 2g cables. He lowered the output for me since i'll still be using the stock motor. Any guesses on how long before I will have to upgrade motor?
I can't wait for it to come in and try it out! I'll keep you updated. |

Re: 2007 G29 YDREE does nothing
My stock motor did not last long at all running with 400 amps with the same controller you are getting. Monitor it closely for overheating.
