Re: Electrical problems,
That's low at full throttle. It'll charge the battery some but your battery will probably need charged with a charger every few weeks as there isn't enough current going back to the batt to keep it topped off.
Did you try to adjust your VR? There is an adjustment screw inside that allows an increase / decrease of output. If that doesn't work you starter / gen brushes need replaced. If that doesn't work your may want to have an alternator shop take a peek and your S / G for faults. |

Re: Electrical problems,
Even though the VR is new its adjustment still may need set to your cart. Think of it as buying a new suit. The suit is new but it still needs sized to fit you. Same thing with the VR. It's a simple process. Pop the top off of it and you'll see the adjustment screw in there. I am pretty sure that counterclockwise on the screw increases voltage. It takes all of 1 min. I would do that before I started getting into the starter. That being said, yes, if a VR adjustment doesn't fix it then you want to move onto you starter: check the brushes, brush springs, and blow that sucker out with compressed air.

Re: Electrical problems,
14 is good so you have that. There is a chance that your batt was discharged though, and the cart didn't have enough ooomph to pick it back up. Charge that sucker overnight with a battery charger and see how it goes.
