Default Yamaha g19 troubleshooting help please

Hello everyone,
I seem to only come around when something is broken lol. Anyway I have a g19 that went down a month or so ago and I've been so busy with other projects that I havent had time to troubleshoot it yet. I need this thing back up and running asap as it is the work horse of my little ranch. I used to work on golf carts at a military base but we worked out of manuals so I didn't learn too much. Mostly club car and Taylor dunn.. With that said I have no idea where to start with troubleshooting procedures for the different components on this g19.
When it kicked the bucket I was pulling a large trailer around my place doing fence work. I do this all the time. Only difference this time is I had massive corrosion on my main + that I was unaware of. That main + is wired to the solenoid and it got so hot it melted the insulation off near the terminal. It stopped dead in its tracks. First I figured the corrosion was preventing it from running. Cut the nut off the post(was welded on from heat) cleaned up the post, replaced lug on main +, hooked it back up and still nothing. No click from the solenoid. Checked battery voltage and they all read about 8.5v they are about 1 year old Trojans.
Can anyone recommend which component I should start troubleshooting and point me in the right direction to any testing procedures. I'm guessing(hoping) the solenoid is where I need to start. Thanks in advance for any assistance. To

I assume you mean make sure the switch is set to run? If so yes it's on run.
