Default 86 Marathon

Rebuilt the fuel pump this past weekend , as that was the last piece of the fuel system that needed to be done.

Cart ran great for 2 days and then out of no where the cart got loud and lost power. Sounds as if the muffler came loose . Pulled the seat and it sounds like it is exhausting from behind the drive clutch.
Cart has no power at all . Sounds like it will start and then just a backfire and continues to crank but will not move.

Checked spark and it is good.

Any ideas???

That's what I was thinking (Crank Seal) based on the how loud the cart has gotten.

Just wondered if it could be the diaphragm on the fuel pump.
That is the only thing that changed before this started.

Possibly a blown head gasket, or lower cylinder gasket.

Do a compression test.

Yeah!! I think that's the next step. Cart is at the summer place in PA. Will be 2 or 3 weeks before I get up there. May just pull the motor and do a rebuild over the winter..
